Namaste !!! Now you must be thinking about what is a ' mela '. It means fair and the fair means excitements ! As you all know that how enthusiastic Indians are .We just want a reason to have some fun . A new concept emerged out of it , actually an old concept.

But , this gathering is of artists and their color combinations .  I recently visited 'Shivaji Park Art Festival ' which is held at  Shivaji Park itself 0n 4,5,6 February .

what you see in the picture above is a 'Godhadi'- Twilight (patchwork) . Godhadi is 
 a bed or bedsheet made of different cloths .Traditionally ,it is stitched using needle -thread it is mainly hand woven . 

The person you are looking at is the idol of our Maharashtra. He is  the father of Indian navy .He carved out his own independent kingdom ' Shree. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj '- who weaves the warm twilight of Swarajya (Independent kingdom ) for ryots.
